Production management & QC
Scoped per project
Volume, factory location, and QC approach all shape the scope. We quote after a short conversation. Accurate numbers only.
What this covers
Once you've got an approved sample and production-ready tech pack, this service takes it to the factory floor. We manage the relationship, oversee production, and ensure what ships matches what you signed off.
Scope can include any combination of
  • Factory sourcing and qualification (if not already established)
  • PO placement and production scheduling
  • Raw material inspection
  • Inline QC at key production milestones
  • On-floor factory management during production runs
  • External QC partner sourcing and management
  • AQL 2.5 end-of-line inspection
  • Defect reporting, remediation management, and re-inspection
  • Shipping documentation and coordination

Volume, factory location, and QC approach all affect the cost significantly. A short conversation gets you an accurate number.

Standalone services

Not every project needs the full track. Pick individual services as you need them.

Tech pack only
Production-ready spec from your existing design files. No concept work or sampling.
QC inspection only
AQL 2.5 end-of-line inspection on an existing production run. Report and defect log included. Travel and accommodation charged separately where required.
Factory audit
Capability assessment of a factory you've identified. Site visit, written report, and capability summary. Travel charged separately.
Ongoing retainer
Retained development and supply chain support for brands with active production pipelines.

Staged payments, tied to milestones. We invoice in stages tied to milestones. The exact structure is agreed in your quote before any work begins. We never mark up factory or sampling costs. Those pass through at actual cost.

Factory sample charges pass through at cost. Agreed and confirmed before each sample is placed. No surprises.

Factory production costs go directly to you. We don't mark up production. Our fee covers management only, clearly separated in your quote.

Freight, duties and import costs
Shipping, customs, and import duties are yours. We can recommend freight partners and support the paperwork, but these costs are outside our scope.

Do I need a minimum order quantity to work with you?
No minimum. We work with brands on their first 300-unit run and established ranges doing 10,000+ units. The project needs to be clearly scoped and the economics need to make sense. We'll tell you straight if they don't.
Can I do Track 1 now and add production management later?
Yes. The tracks are modular. Some brands start with a tech pack and factory intro, manage production themselves, then come back for QC on the first run. Others do the full journey. Both work.
Why is production management bespoke rather than fixed price?
The variables are too significant. A single product run at a nearby Vietnam factory is completely different from managing three products across two Chinese factories with inline visits and external QC. A fixed price would mean we're either overcharging or undercharging. A quick conversation gets you an accurate number.
What if the number of sample rounds goes over what was agreed?
Each sample round has a defined purpose and test list. If a product's genuinely complex and needs extra rounds beyond what was scoped, we discuss it before proceeding. Any scope change gets agreed in writing first.
Do you mark up factory or sampling costs?
No. Factory production and sample costs pass through at actual rate. You see the factory invoice. Our fee is separate and clearly itemised. That transparency is deliberate so you can always verify what you're paying.
I already have a tech pack. Can I just come in for production management?
Yes. If you've got production-ready tech packs and an approved pre-production sample, we can pick up from there. We'll review your documentation before quoting to make sure there are no gaps that'll cause problems on the floor.
